We live in typical Mulgalands country, located 165km south west of Mitchell QLD (11 hours west of Brisbane). There is 100km of unsealed road from Mitchell.
We work hard and spend each day outside in our remote part of Australia.
We are hoping to share our experiences and in return have your help with the daily tasks. This is a VOLUNTEER/WWOOFer position for someone that has skills with animals and property maintainence. We provide food and board in return for help. We are also able to sign Form 1263 for 2nd Year Visa.

We are a family of four running a cattle, sheep & goat business on two properties.We travel between the two properties maintaining stock and infrastructures. We teach our two children, through Distance Education. Skills you need are for mechanical maintainence, checking of waters, checking & moving stock, repair & maintenance of fences.The machinery maintenance involves toyota utes, pumps & generators. Being able to ride a motorbike and drive a vehicle will be an advantage for this position.
We need your help to feed our cattle, sheep and goats and this involves mustering and yard work. We have orphaned calves that need feeding with milk each day and working dogs that require daily care and exercise.
Most jobs are done as a team and you would be working with others for guidance.
Accomodation is for ONE in a fully furnished self contained donga. Meals are with the family and food is supplied. We eat a mixed diet. Smoking is outdoors only. Initial stay is two weeks, then negotiable.
